What makes a good psychic reading?

When you find a psychic the first thing you should ask for is to see their testimonials and always ask a friend for a referral. Referrals are best when searching for someone reputable and honest. There are too many phony psychics out there wanting to pick your pockets dry.

A good psychic never asks too many questions. Many will ask for your name, where you reside (state or country) or your birth date, and if they ask numerous other questions that is called fishing. When a psychic fishes, they are not really interested in helping you find the answers, they are wanting to know more about you and your situation so they can play upon your vulnerabilities. This is not a good psychic.

Always ask around for someone that understands your issue. You would never go to a medium to ask about love. Mediums speak with spirits or the deceased. Some have other gifts as well and can assist with finances, animal communication, or if you are moving any time soon. Ensure that you are getting what you paid for. This is a service and they are here to service and offer the best advice with honor and integrity and you if believe you have not received their un-divine attention don't be afraid to say so.

Phone readings are terrific and I've had the best readings in this manner. Readings by e-mail are also accurate as long as the psychic can "get-in-touch" with you energy and read it accurately. I have experienced both and love to feel special whenever I receive a reading. Make sure that you always thank the psychic for their time and their energy and leave a testimonial if you believe the reading answered your questions. Sometimes a psychic only skims over the answers and that is okay too, only if you are truly satisfied with what you heard.

Remember to check references and always ask what energies the psychic can read before proceeding with any reading!

The El Cortez Hotel and Casino

When most people think about Vegas, they think about the Vegas Strip. However, there is a lot to be said for many of the off-strip casinos. One of my personal favorites is the El Cortez Hotel and Casino. This is located in the downtown area of Las Vegas on Fremont Street. This is a small, old-school casino without a lot of the flash that you would normally see on the Las Vegas strip.

This casino is mostly frequented by "locals". It is super dark, super smoky, and super dated but somehow I still go there a lot. It has more of a down-home feel. You do not have to get all snazzy to walk into the place and you don't have to spend $30 just to get a good burger (Cafe Cortez actually has a $5 burger and beer special). One particularly off-putting thing is that some of the patrons (and I use this word loosely) wander in from the streets every now and then. They have no reason to be there and it is clear that they use the casino as a refuge from the heat or just a place to "be". Last week I walked into the restroom and it smelled really horrible as if someone was living in one of the stalls and had never washed. If that seems harsh, please do not misunderstand. I have been going to the El Cortez for months and I have never smelled the bathroom like that. Although you do not want to alienate people you must know that this is a business and certain things that go on at the El Cortez are bad for business.

Although the decor is dated and it has a mostly older crowd, it has some cool comps that would blow the Vegas Strip out of the water! Your player's card is upgraded pretty quickly and you get lots of stuff like 2-for-1's or $10 off per person at Cafe Cortez or even $25 off per person at their famous Flame Steakhouse! Just try getting comps like that at casinos on the Vegas strip without spending 10-30x as much as you would here.

El Cortez has several dining options including the Subway (if you are on a super budget) Cafe Cortez (if you are on a budget), and Flame Steakhouse (if you are NOT on a budget, want great food and atmosphere without the hustle and bustle of the Vegas Strip, and are willing to spend a bit more. The average entree here is about $25 pp).

The El Cortez has some really old broken-down slots that should probably be put out of their misery. However, they also have lots of modern games as well. They are equipped with the standard table games including Pai Gow poker, Black Jack, Craps, Roulette, and more! One of my favorite things to do there is play Roulette. Where else can you play Roulette for a .25 buy-in? Yes, I said 25 cents! On certain days, you can get hot dogs and beer for $1 each and there are really cool tournaments that do not require a buy-in.

For you serious betters out there, they also have sports betting and Keno. There is truly something for everyone at the El Cortez and if you are willing to venture off of the Vegas Strip for a while and check out this casino and the trendy downtown area you might be surprised!

Personal Demonic Experience

11/12/2012

The time was 1:30-2:00 am when I first felt the negative entity pushing upon me in our living room. I had been ill and was sleeping in the chair to avoid lying flat. I was unable to breathe if I was flat on a bed. I saw the demon with my eyes. It was standing near the stationary bike then I saw it in the hallway. It just stared back at me with it dark hallow eyes. It was black all over and had horns protruding from its head. I could sense what it was capable of. It could have killed me. I also heard it speak to me using telepathy.

I feared this thing and didn’t know what to do when it attempted to get inside me. It was able to accomplish this task and I felt some of what it knew. The evil this demon possessed was incredible. I felt as it came from the state of Conn. It never told me its name, I just knew. The presence of this negative entity was overwhelming. It could smell my fear and it told me so. I was able to push it out of me by rehashing what I knew about the church. I called upon God, Jesus, the angels, especially St. Michael.

After St. Michael came, he realized that I was in need of his help and he surrounded me with more angels—actually hundreds of them and they pushed this entity out of my house. The only thing I can say is that it looked like a bunch of marshmallows pushing out a piece of crap. I was so relieved to know that it was gone.

This entire ordeal when on for hours because I finally fell asleep for a short time until morning came. When my husband woke, he told me that something had its hand over his mouth and sat on him. He told the being to F--- Off and it left him alone. Instead, it wanted to come after me. I found it within myself to fight it off even though I had Nightquil in my body because of my illness. I was still able to keep it from completely entering me. Remnants of this negative entity remained in our home for a few hours afterwards.

I felt that this was a test for me from God. I knew that I brought this thing into my home, but why, I still do not know or understand. I am wiser and now know that these things can and will physically harm us. I now possess a greater respect for what God deals with daily.

This taught me to think positive thoughts instead of rooting upon the negative!

Clearing with the sun's energy

We have all been in need of clearing our energy after enduring a rough conversation or watching a horror flick; each of these are difficult to shake or forget. These energies tend to stay with us for the long run. They grab hold and refuse to let go. These kinds of energies penetrate our very soul when we hang on to them and don’t clear them deliberately, purposefully.

I have discovered that after a harsh day at work I need rid my body of the thick, tension that I consider unhealthy. It is wise to find ways of letting go or releasing the stress that builds up after each day, besides exercise, the sun is helpful in many ways. Some people take salt water baths with sea salt or they might toss in their favorite herbs, while others go and stand in the sun.

The sun is the perfect clearing device for everyone. It not only provides our skin with vitamin D, but it helps to vanish whatever energies are unwanted by our bodies. The sun is the perfect meditation when used correctly.

When people think of the sun, they mull over sunbathing, swimming, or growing plants. It also assists our body in getting rid of the harmful efforts that continue to plague our bodies throughout our lives. The sun is in reality, a healing source. It was revered by many ancient peoples and today, it is our main source of light and in many parts of the world, it helps to make electricity.

Light has been known to heal old wounds and to encourage energetic healing within, if the person’s belief systems are directed correctly down that path. When light is shined upon the body, it reacts in many varied ways. It wants to heal itself. The body has a basic need to heal. When injured the skin goes to work immediately to reclaim the area damaged by forming a perfect seal to ensure it heals properly, and the sun enables our energetic bodies to heal in the same fashion.

After observing horrific images one can go outside and stand in the sun for a few minutes and ask for the healing to begin. The warmth dives deep within our cells and circulates throughout our body as healing is performed to melt the visions of what we swallowed with our eyes. It is not an easy task to clear what was seen, but it is possible if you believe in it 100%.

After I sprained my ankle when I was twelve I sat in the sun reading quite a lot; what else could I do? The sun enabled me to not only bring me out of my funk it also encouraged my ankle to heal faster. Instead of enduring the pain that would have significantly brought down my mood, the sun lifted me to new heights. Always thank the sun for any healing. It does it naturally and without permission.

I enjoy a day out like anyone else, and beware that the sun can seduce you into believing it is cooler than it really is. When dehydration takes place, you know that you have spent too much time in the sun. Drink plenty of water and utilize the sun’s healing ability sparingly to induce healing.

Fanboy Frenzy!

PC is better than Mac hands down, you know that right? Everyone knows that and if you believe any different you are a fool! How could you not know that PCs are more reasonably-priced and just a better buy overall for the average user? Macs are for crazy people who don't know anything about quality, value, or performance. For the price of one Mac I can buy 3 PCs!

Had you going there for a minute didn't I? Well..as much as I used to be a die-hard PC fan, I am now looking into Macs and Alienware because I feel that they may actually provide more performance and be better suited to our needs. I just wanted to see how people would react to such a statement.

Recently I was talking to my husband about the concept of "fanboyism". What is fanboyism you ask? It is when someone is so dedicated to a particular concept or item that they become fanatical about that item. The common definition is: supporter. However, I believe it goes much further than that.

Which would you prefer? Coke or Pepsi? PC or Mac? Nikon or Canon? Do you know that just by entering any forum related to one of these products and asking which is better, you can start an online riot? Not long ago, I was nearly kicked out of a Linked In group because I asked which computer was a better buy; PC or Mac. I explained that we were in the market for a new computer, were avid gamers and that my husband is a photographer and needs to be able to edit photos.

After asking the question on the forum, I was contacted by the group's moderator. He warned me that this would incite a heated debate and that he would have to kick me out of the group if I continued. I apologized and explained to him that I really had no clue that asking such  a simple question on a forum full of what should have been level-headed adults would blacklist me.

Why are people so dedicated to their brand to the point where they would go to battle over it? I cannot tell you the answer to that (perhaps an actual study is needed and as soon as I throw my psychology hat on, I'm on it). However, I can tell you that many Internet users are very tired of them and some have even suggested loading them all up and sending them to outer space. While i would not go so far as to send them into exile, I will tell you that the only ones benefiting from such things are the companies whom they defend.

Some are not really that bad but you know what they say about that one apple. I have seen Canon users join Nikon groups with the specific intent of trolling their forums, the same can be said for PC users, Mac, or any other brand. The problem is not necessarily just that they are annoying. The real problem is that fanboys (and fangirls) make it so difficult for people who actually want viable information in order to make an informed decision. I cannot tell you the countless amount of products that I have tried to research (outside of the companies' official websites) and have come up empty because of fanboy-related trolling.

There is  nothing wrong with being passionate about something. However, remember that most of us are adults and should conduct ourselves as such. Before going off on a tangent about any specific product please ask yourself if you are just rambling or actually adding value to a particular discussion. Here are some of the products in general that have stirred up some off-the-wall discussions (real-world and online):

Mac vs. PC
Nikon vs. Canon
Pepsi vs. Coke
Cable vs. satellite
Facebook vs. Twitter
CNN vs. MSNBC
Xbox vs. PS3 (see my previous article on Xbox One vs. PS4)
Cats vs. dogs
..and the list goes on!

Talking 2 Animals

talking to animals, ghosts, paranormal, cats and dogs

We have all talked to animals at one time or another. And many of us wonder what they are thinking. Whether we are at home or on a walk with our dogs we wonder, do they really listen?
Animal Communication has come into its own within the last thirty or so years, and yielded positive results. When one learns how to talk with the animals it takes patience, perseverance, and lots of confidence. Not everyone succeeded on the first try.

Humans need to have a calm mind and an open heart whenever communicating with animals telepathically. Meditation can help quiet our monkey minds and although not all humans gain a thorough understanding of this silent communication at first, just keep at it, you will eventually get it. It just takes practice.
When I first learned how to talk to the animals, I was just a child, but we soon forget once society informs us that we cannot or should not do that. I took a few courses and regained my telepathic speech once again. Elation was the word I used when I succeeded on the first try. Not to say that I did not have confidence issues, I did.

There are so many wonderful books by authors such as Marta Williams that walk humans through the communication process. “Learning Their Language” was the best book I read by her and it allowed me to relearn without judgment and without criticism. It was easy to absorb and fun too. Once you study this ancient way of communication, the rest of it falls into place. Telepathy will come so easy for you that your animals will not only chat away about their lives, but you will gain a better understanding of what they are experiencing. If they are ill, ask them what is wrong. If they want a different food, ask what they like and don’t like. It’s as easy as that.

I have a cat that talks all the time, silently. There are days that she is quiet and does cat things—then there are the chatty times when I have to tell her that I many other things to do, after I listen to her, of course. Her name is Ruffles and she came to me when she was one day old. This cat could purr at that age and she took to a bottle very quickly. Our Veterinarian was taken by surprise that one so young could actually purr. We connected immediately and to this day we still have a great relationship.

Are you still not convinced? Try it for yourself. Dogs seem to be the easiest to talk to. They are open and happy to share their day with you. Do they need a new ball or a new dish or perhaps a blanket to snuggle with? You have to use your imagination—remember the one that you used when you were a child? Yeah, that is the one and it just wasn’t your imagination—it was real.

I could talk to the bees, flies, dogs, cats, birds, etc. Today is no different. We have two dogs, two cats, and three birds and I have held unique conversations with each. You never know, maybe your animal has something to share with you.

Oculus Rift will change the world!

Move over traditional gaming with your 2D worlds, there's a new sheriff in town. Oculus Rift is one the newest and coolest gadgets on the planet! Oculus Rift was developed by Palmer Luckey who was an engineer at  USC's Institute for Creative Technologies. He used a popular crowd-funding site called Kickstarter to fund this wonderful product.

In the past, most 3D technology, specifically virtual reality has been extremely cost-prohibitive with prices ranging from a few hundred to tens-of-thousands of dollars. In addition, VR units were mostly used for military training and therapeutic purposes. Oculus Rift sets out to change that. The developers promise a unit that is both engaging, entertaining, and affordable.

Imagine being in a 3D world where you can check out your next house before it is built or interact with your family members inside a 3D version of their homes from across the country. What if you want to test drive cars without leaving your living room or skydive without leaving your home? How about giving doctors a 3D view of the inside of their patients' body so that they can see every aspect of what is wrong with them?
The possibilities go so far beyond gaming that if I was a developer I would be knocking the door down to get my hands on a dev kit! Is is also fully integrable with existing 3D engines which should make it easy for current developers to create programs without having to learn much (if any) new technology.

We aren't just here to talk about the limitless applications for this unit but also the games. Many games are available for Oculus Rift right now including:

Portal 2
Half-Life 2
Rift Coaster
Doom3
and more!

As expected, any new technology will have issues to be worked out and Oculus Rift is not immune to this. One of the common complaints people have is with regard to the mouse. Using the Oculus Rift headset and the computer mouse at the same time proved to be somewhat difficult and awkward. Another complaint is that there are latency issues which could be attributed to  the fact that the units available right now are not finished and are only for development purposes. In addition, Oculus Rift only allows you to look around a 3D world. This means that you still need to use your computer's mouse and keyboard in order to fully interact with anything. Presumably, the developers will include things like motion-sensors and hand-based interaction in the next-gen Oculus Rift units.

Despite some small issues which will undoubtedly be fixed as the Oculus Rift technology develops more, most people are not concerned enough to stop using the product. In fact, many people, like myself are waiting for the official release.

Recently there was an Oculus Rift development kit giveaway at http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/oculus-rift-development-kit-review-and-giveaway. Although the contest is over, there is an article by James Bruce which explains what is included in the development kit (should you decide to order one for only about $300). In addition, he posted some cool trailers and user experiences. You can do a Youtube search on Oculus Rift in order to see more trailers.

Whether you are a gamer, a sports enthusiast, or a new home buyer, Oculus Rift has something for everyone. When it hits the market, strap in and take it for a spin. I guarantee it's going to be the wildest ride you have ever had.

Boston suspect Branden Mattier makes a false bombing claim

Often when tragedies happen on a large scale there is some sort of fund set up. Usually the funds are set up through the families of the victim(s) or some other organization. Unfortunately, out of good intentions bad things sometimes happen. Either fraudulent charities are created to extract money from well-meaning donors or ill-intentioned individuals attempt to extract funds from well-meaning charities. It happened with 9/11, the Aurura, Colorado movie theater shooting, the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, etc.

On Tuesday, Boston native 22 year-old Branden Mattier was arrested due to a false bombing claim. He attempted to file a claim on behalf of his aunt Onevia Bradley who had been dead for 10 years. An officer arrived at his door with a check and when he accepted the $2.195 million dollar check, he was arrested on grand larceny charges. For the false boming claim he is now being held on $30,000 bail.

Disgust does not begin to describe how I feel about people like this. When you have victims who are still in mourning over the loss of loved ones try to capitalize off of them, there is no justice swift enough for them. What sort of person could look at themself in the mirror everyday and do these sorts of things? His bail was way too low for making a false bombing claim. For claims of this nature whether it be false bombing claims or false shooting claims the victims should have a say in everything in the case from beginning to end.

Wouldn't it be great to have victim's families decide how much bail should be or have input regarding jury deliberations (other than merely taking the stand of course)? When scam attempt to defraud those who really may need the money due to the loss of their family member, be it funeral expenses or helping to make ends meet, they do not deserve to be called human.

Cool bags for dudes!

Father’s day may have just passed but that does not mean you can’t buy that special guy in your life a great gift. We have all done the watches and ties, but have you ever thought of giving a great bag?
Or perhaps you find yourself in need of an excellent way to protect your things and look great while doing it; men have things to carry from point A to point B and there’s no need to juggle keys, wallet, mobile phone and tablet. The right bag can really help, so it might be time to buy a convenient bag to accent your wardrobe.

Modern bags for 2013 include options for the office, the great outdoors, the commute and even for travel. Best of all, many of them do double duty.

Best Bags for Work

In the past, a stuffy leather briefcase was the perfect complement to a conservative suit and tie. But, with office environments changing, we are now seeing much more casual looks going into office buildings and professional workplaces. Bags to complement this style include excellent sporty options in fabrics like canvas, tweed and wool. Choose a dispatch-style shoulder bag to hold your laptop, tablet and important papers.

If you need a luxury bag to take to the office or have a very professional image to uphold, you will find modern leather options with updates such as softer shapes. Instead of a standard briefcase you can go for a fine leather satchel or folio bag.
Traveling in Style

When you’re out on the road your bag should reflect your unique style and taste, and it’s an incredible relief to have a great piece you can turn to time and again. For shorter trips, a holdall is extra stylish and convenient. It can often be used as a carry-on as well, helping you save precious time waiting in lines or retrieving your luggage after landing.

Great holdalls for 2013 range from small versatile options for week-end getaways to larger bags with shoulder straps. Look for details like exterior pockets for holding airline or train tickets and secure interior pockets to protect a laptop, camera or other equipment. A versatile holdall can also be used for the gym. If you need a larger travel bag or one to use for business, go for a stylish suit carrier or canvas flight suitcase.

Outdoor Bags

If you are heading out into the country, you will need a bag that’s extra durable and of course comfortable to carry. What’s great is that many modern men’s bags have been inspired by fishing and shooting, meaning they already have very convenient features for rugged use. You’ll find bags in 2013 with rubberized linings, extremely hardwearing straps and leather reinforcements. Choose canvas for simple maintenance with just a bit of soap and water. For hands-free carrying of all your gear, a fine rucksack is usually your best bet.

Sonia Moran is a fashion enthusiast and design consultant. She enjoys blogging on a number of style-related subjects and has been featured on various well-known sites such as www.chapmanbags.com where you can find the above-mentioned bags and much more.
